Cruise lines have announced itinerary changes in the wake of Tropical Storm Noel, which was scheduled to hit the Bahamas early Thursday.
Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Majesty, sailing from Charleston, SC, arrived in St. George's, Bermuda on Wednesday as scheduled, but changed docking position and moved to Hamilton Thursday morning. The vessel was scheduled to depart Hamilton at 5 p.m. Thursday to avoid the storm and keep guests as comfortable as possible on the return to Charleston.Norwegian Sun, sailing from Miami, will cancel its call to Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas on Friday and instead call at Key West, FL.
On Carnival Cruise Lines' cruises departing Oct. 28 from Florida ports, Carnival Legend and Carnival Valor replaced Grand Cayman calls with sea days, while Sensation shortened its call at Nassau. On the Celebration's Oct. 29 cruise from Jacksonville, FL, a Nassau call was replaced with Freeport.
Royal Caribbean reversed the order of the ports of call on Freedom of the Seas' Oct. 28 cruise from Miami, calling at Ocho Rios, Jamaica on Thursday. The ship was scheduled to spend two days at sea before returning to Miami as scheduled on Sunday.
