Try a weekend camping at Leidy Lake Campground on Bennett Road in Colon. The campground, right on Leidy Lake Campground can accommodate any camper, from RVs to primitive, as well as cabins. Leashed pets allowed http://www.leidylakecampground.com/
Cade Lake Campground on US-12 in Sturgis also has modern to rustic camping as well as modern bath houses and restrooms, most importantly; a large, sandy beach on Cade Lake which is great for swimming, boating and fishing. Nottawa Park offers free access to a public beach. Come for a swim, to fish, for your family picnic, or spend a few nights camping on the shores of Sand Lake. On M-86 in Nottawa. Call 269-467-5519 for camping information.
Beat the summer heat and enjoy a day at Palmer Lake Beach! Three acres on Palmer Lake. Picnic shelter and tables, barbecue grills, playground and restrooms. Take M-86 to Sprowl Road just east of Colon (269)467-5519.
