Play Golf Better and Safer with a Warm-up

Play Golf Better and Safer with a Warm-up

by Greg Hansward

A warm-up is very important to playing golf. Golfing professionals indicate that is one step any golfer cannot afford to forego. You may be in great shape, play often and are ready to step up to the tee immediately. But, are a couple practice swings sufficient before teeing off? Although you may be mentally ready to play as soon as you step onto the course, you also may find yourself playing a poor game or, even worse, injured because you skipped a quality warm-up.

Cars from a few years ago always required a brief warm up before heading out to the highway. You started the engine, allowed the fluids to circulate and then knew the car was ready to go. Your body is no different. No, there have been no major upgrades over the past several years. Your body still needs time to warm up. In fact, it becomes even more essential as you age.

What exactly is a good warm-up, then? You do not have to hit an entire bucket of balls on the driving range, nor do you need to do a full workout of stretches. Just take time to hit at least a dozen balls but do so starting slowly. Start by hitting a few short range shots, gradually working up to longer drives.

Some gentle exercising is always a good idea, even if it consists of a brief walk. The reason so many people have heart attacks on the green is because they did not prepare their bodies for the physical demands of golf. Even if you are playing a casual, recreational game, golf places some strenuous physical demands on your body.

If you do not play regularly, a warm-up of at least a half hour to an hour would be proper before the golfing begins and you tee off. This requires you to arrive early or doing your warm up somewhere other than the course, perhaps at home. However, you may find that the driving range at the course is the best place to warm-up prior to a game. Some golfers spend some time practicing with training tools before leaving home, then park a good distance from the clubhouse allowing the walk up to serve as part of his or her warm-up.

If you play (http://www.alicante-spain.com/costa_blanca_golf_courses.html) golf often and are in good physical condition, you may be fine with a shorter warm-up period, but you still should set aside some time for warm-up before making your first swing. If you do not, you may find yourself straining muscles that are not ready for such rigorous use on the course. Not only will pulled muscles hamper the rest of your game, they may also keep you off the course and in the clubhouse much longer than you want.

Some golfers use the warm up period as a time to be alone and concentrate on the upcoming game whereas others like to warm up friends and partners. Either way, it is essential that you set aside some time beforehand to prepare for the game. You will play better at this game and future tee times!

Focusing on latest developments in golf property costa blanca, Greg Hansward published mainly for http://www.alicante-spain.com/ . You might find out more about his (http://www.alicante-spain.com/costa_blanca_golf_courses.html) publications on golf in spain over at http://www.alicante-spain.com/ .

Should You Buy MyShedPlans - A Close Look & Review

By Zack Roberts

After reaching the decision of wanting to build my own garden shed, I knew that the very first thing I would need is some shed plans. The next question was where do I get them, and where do I start? I am far from being a carpenter and have very little knowledge in working with wood, or doing any type of woodworking for that matter. I knew I needed a starting point so I paid a visit to MyShedPlans. Which in the end turned out to be a wise move. The very first thing I discovered to my delight was, what they had to offer was for people exactly like me. Lots of energy but no talent.

To begin with I felt comfortable, because there wasn't a lot of technical terms being thrown at me from the start. The next thing I saw were some great pictures of a variety of styles of sheds. This was ideal for me because I had some basic ideas of what I wanted, and some of the samples shown were pretty much what I had hoped for. I didn't want to be restricted to building one style only. By doing that it may not have be to my liking, plus it may have been too complex for a novice like myself. That problem was solved here at this site.

Now that I felt at ease knowing I had come to the right place I was able to settle down and start scrolling down the page. Right away I was offered the chance to view a video, which of course I did, and found it to be informative and encouraging. As I continued, I was pleased to see that I could actually download it immediately, that not only would give me full instructions on how to build my shed, but will give me plans for many others. I knew that if the cd were as clear and simple to follow as the site was, I would have no problems at all.

While there I got some first hand knowledge of what can go wrong with other courses and instructions that you could purchase elsewhere if you were new to shed building. This was a good way to start, by knowing what not to do. By now I felt completely comfortable with anything this site had to offer by way of instruction. I knew that whatever I was going to need I would find here, plus lots more for future projects as well. I even discovered that if I wanted to become even more serious about woodworking projects, that I could take a course that was being offered here.

At this point I was excited, because over the course of reviewing this site my confidence had been boosted. I knew now that I could really do this project with the expert direction of what I found here. The testimonies from other satisfied customers just confirmed this. When you see all of the other potential projects that can be completed and the numerous support products that are available, for just about anything you want to build relating to wood ,it pushes you to just get out and get at it.

Tips You Need To Know Before Starting Woodworking Projects

By Ryan Henderson

Often people will dive into a hobby before they even recognise if its for them. So to start with, the first thing you want to know before taking on a woodwork project is, that its going to fit your interests. But the fact is that,, you won't know if you'll enjoy it before you have even tried it, and thats a just argument.

Decide first of all that you are going to start with something little. Possibly a birdhouse or a planter or even a elementary ornamental shelf. Nothing too elaborate though. It may even be a superb idea to start with a kit. This way you wont have to invest in a lot of tools while you are in this testing stage. Once you have accomplished your test project and discovered that you truly did enjoy it, then you are ready to move onto bigger and better affairs, slowly though.

Now is the time to really start reading about what working with wood is all about. Its time to cultivate yourself and do some research. You need to attain at least the basics if you wish to move forward. Plan on investing in some magazines and books. Try to purchase magazines pitched towards novices at first, and observe for the ones that offer free designs in them as well.

The next item on your list for things to know is, what instruments are you going to need. Dont run out and purchase state of the art, or top of the line instruments. These are not essential. If you have been reading your magazines, then by now you should have a good idea what you are going to need. They no doubt gave you some good pointers on how to pick out your tools. Every woodwork project will have some tool requirements, but most of these projects will commonly comply to the average wood working tools.

Before you even begin to think about starting a serious woodworking project, read any information that came with your tools. It is wise that first and foremost you become familiar and adhere to all of the safety rules and guidelines. Some very big accidents can take place with the types of tools you will be using.

Now you are ready to commence your project. Be sure that you have purchased a pattern, and preferably a elementary one. If you jump into something too complex it could get pricey, and you could become discouraged at it not turning out exactly as good as what it could be.

Woodworking projects call for the same practice as anything else that you have become skilled in. You will gradually get better the more you do. Try and take some time to maybe take a few classes. Check out your local improvement stores and see if they offer workshops. Just make sure they are applicable to the kind of carpentry that you are doing.

If you follow these easy guidelines, and keep reading and researching, before you know it you will be able to class yourself as a veteran woods craftsperson.

Learning To Play Tennis - Grip, Footwork and Strokes

By Richard J. Larkins

Get Some Tennis Lessons Online - Grip, Strokes and Footwork.

Great footwork is essentially about weight control and tennis for beginners reveals that clearly. It is getting the most effective body position for each stroke, and from there pretty much all shots will develop. In presenting the distinctive sorts of hits and footwork I am writing as a right-hand athlete. The left-hander should simply reverse the feet.

Racquet grip is an imperative aspect of your stroke, because a mediocre hold will mess up the finest serve. A natural grip for a top forehand shot is essentially unsound for the backhand.

To acquire the forehand grip, hold the tennis racquet with the side of the frame toward the court and the face perpendicular, the handle toward the body, and "shake hands" the racquet, just as if you were greeting your friend. the grip settled easily and naturally into the hand, the general line of the hand, racquet and arm are one. The swing brings the racquet in a general line with the arm, and the full tennis racquet is basically an extension of the arm.

The backhand hand grip is a 1/4 circle turn of hand on the handle, bringing the hand over the grip and the knuckles directly up. the hit travels across the wrist.

This is the recommended arrangement for your grip. I do not recommend copying this hold precisely, but model your natural style grip as closely as possible on these lines while not losing your own comfort or distinctiveness.

Having once become proficient in the tennis racquet in the hand, the next step is the stance of the body and sequence of learning shots.

All tennis strokes, must be executed with the body at right angles to the net, having the shoulders in line to the line of path of the tennis ball. the weight must always advance forward. it should shift from the back foot through to the leading foot the exact moment of striking the tennis ball. Never permit the body weight to be moving away from the stroke. It is weight that governs the "pace/pace" of a stroke swing that, dictates the "speed/velocity."

Allow me spell out the gist of "speed/pace" and also the "pace/rapidity." "Speed" is the actual rate with which a ball moves through the atmosphere. "Pace" is the velocity with which it springs up from the court. Pace is weight. It is the "sting" the tennis ball has when it comes from the ground, letting the inexperienced along with unsuspecting competitor a blast of power which the shot or swing never revealed.

A good many sports persons hold both "speed" and "pace." A few shots may well have both.

The order of learning your strokes should be:

1. The Drive. Fore and also the backhand. This is the starting place of all tennis, given that you simply won't build a net offensive until you occupy the ground hit to create the practice. Nor can you win a net charge effectively unless you in reality, can drive, plainly that is your only effective passing stroke.

2. Service.

3. The Volley and also the Overhead Smash.

4. The Chop or Half Volley and other incidental and ornamental strokes.

Salmon Fishing In Canada

By Danny Trueman

Fly in fishing trips have become one of the most preferred vacations for fishing enthusiasts because of the excitement that it brings. If you want to have the experience of a lifetime and a catch like no other, then British Columbia, Canada is where you want to plan your next trip.

British Columbia's coastal waters are abundant with sea life including all five species of the Pacific Salmon which are Chinook (Kings), Coho (Silvers), Chum, Pink and Sockeye. The salmon caught off the BC coast are what are considered trophy salmon by fisherman. Depending on the region the average Chinook caught range from 25 to 35 lb and some places like Rivers Inlet have seen Chinooks caught as high as 70lb!

The more isolated and remote the area you are fishing, usually the more (and bigger) fish you'll catch. For the most success I recommend you check into a remote fishing lodge preferably one that is fly-in only so it provides the most isolated and undisturbed environment possible.

Bringing the right things are just as important. If you have salmon fishing in mind then one thing you will not want to forget is sun block since you will be spending a lot of time outdoors. The weather can be unpredictable and make a turn for the worse so pack your rain gear as well. Don't forget your camera, you'll surely want a picture of your trophy catch.

Although British Columbia's waters are abundant with aquatic life it is till best to know where the good fishing spots are. From experience I can tell you that the best salmon fishing in BC is at Rivers Inlet which is close to Port Hardy.

Equipment and transportation can be very important if you will be fishing in locations that are not easily accessible. Charter boats, planes and even kayaks can be hired to take you to your fishing destination. It's a good idea to make a reservation if you are coming during the peak seasons.

All places that provide fly in fishing have their own set of rules and regulations. Be sure that you brief yourself with this. Get the required fishing licenses that are needed as well. If you are looking towards catching salmon, then conservation stamps will be needed too.

At the end of the day you'll want a good place to stay and share your days adventures. Choose a resort or lodge that is fully equipped with everything that you need be sure that your stay is more comfortable. Reservations are important for this as well, I recommend you book your lodge early since you cannot tell what the influx of guests will be like.

What You Need To Know Before Buying A Fishing Rod

By Kole Olawumi

They think that a fishing rod is a fisherman's primary- and most crucial- device. Definitely, an angler can go fishing with his hands, as associates of cultures from the years of yore once follows. But casting a net over a school of fish is quite awkward, not to point out very limiting as the fisherman will merely be narrowed to shallow water types of sea life.

For game fishing, a fishing pole is a requisite.

If you're neophyte at fishing, a fishing rod will be your major outlay. It is the one, important paraphernalia that makes fishing possible and pleasurable, and even addictive for lots of persons.

Here are some tips that will aid you select the proper fishing pole for your desires.

- A fishing rod should peter out from the edge to the angle. You won't have troubles with picking a fishing rod that satisfies this shape, as such is quite common. Established that progressive devices are offered to the market from time to time, the standard will always be the greatest.

- A fishing rod is depicted by heaviness. This heaviness doesn't mean the real heaviness of the rod . Rather, this heaviness refers to how hardy the rod will be for particular sorts of lures and against particular sorts of fish. Hence, groupings like Ultra-Light, Light, Medium-Light, Medium, Medium-Heavy, Heavy, and Ultra-Heavy are used when describing poles to help the angler in picking the proper one for his objectives. Fly fishing, for example, can cope with Ultra-Light to Medium load poles. Bass fishing, on the other hand, would need Medium-Light to Heavy load poles.

- A fishing pole is also depicted by action. Action refers to how greatly the fishing pole can bear when pulled by a specific intensity, and how fast it will return to its neutral position. Action is categorized as slow, medium or fast, although core-points between parts can be employed.

- Some fishing rods are coined as one-piece, because they arrive in, well, one piece. They are said to look very natural for the angler, providing a more comfortable time in fishing. In contrast, two-piece fishing rods are more complex. With the proper engineering, two-piece fishing rods can achieve their purposes effectively well. But if gauchely manufactured, two-piece fishing rods can be catastrophic even for experienced fishermen.

Carp Baits For Consistent Big Fishing Catches!

By Tim Richardson

Many anglers fish without ever knowing how their baits actually induce fish to behave the way they do; in taking bait and hook into their mouths. But if you knew better how to achieve this effect in practice, and how to manipulate it more appropriately at times, do you think this would increase your chances of bites and fish landed? If so, then read on!

Confidence in a bag, (or bottle) when it come to bait is one of great personal opinions for every angler, because the truth is everyone has different experiences even on the same baits, at different waters, and many anglers with put down other baits even though they have never even used them, which is a tad bit short-sighted perhaps. Confidence mostly comes from perceptions in fishing, and certainly not from first-hand experience. But it is first-hand personal experience that is the only thing you can truly trust as fact, but I do not mean by this that claims about commercial bait quality and effectiveness are not true.

Now you might wonder what all this confidence stuff has to do with actually knowing something useful about vital carp senses beyond appreciating that they like a bit of protein or a maybe have a flavour preference now and again. In terms of flavours, not all are the same! If I suggested that chilli powder can help your bait be detected from greater range by senses involving various specialised receptor cells and specialised canal pits along the lateral line (and in the actual skin of the fish,) this might be new to many.

It may be remembered that bait substances get diluted in water and many chemicals occur in air which are not the same compounds when released into water. What if I suggested that it was not necessarily the familiar smell of garlic we humans recognise in air that produces its effects on carp for its success? What about the significance of the fact that when in water, certain pungent garlic compounds given off in air, including that distinctive garlic smell are not produced?

Perhaps you might begin to think maybe something other than just smell and taste was influential and impacting on the carp; maybe something more profound, internal and physiological, or even psychological... To help clarify this big point, I ate a wheat-free biscuit (and wheat-free doughnut today!) Comparing the ingredients with the wheat-containing versions, the only substitution was that the wheat-free foods were based on maize flour, tapioca starch, soya flour and rice flour. All the rest of the ingredients in the wheat-free products were the same as the conventional wheat-based biscuits and doughnuts, including the fruit flavours, sweeteners, acidity regulators, (preservatives) and enhancers etc.

On eating the wheat-free foods I did not want to keep eating them and certainly Homer Simpson would have a shock if his doughnuts were wheat-free as there is something internally potent missing in them! Beyond all the flavours, sweeteners, enhancers and other goodies already added to those biscuits and doughnut (I say doughnut as I could only eat one,) something vital was missing. That missing substance that in wheat for example causes the release of feel-good hormones in the wheat-free foods was gone, and I really missed it!

Just imagine eating a food for years without that feel-good feeling after each morsel; making you want another one, and then eating one which does have this effect. Which one would you choose?! I don?t think you would have much choice; your brain will decide for you, and that is one reason why over-weight comfort food eaters who binge on cakes, biscuits, chocolate and many other foods, regularly can?t help themselves.

In fact many of the same ingredients are in so many foods that in bulk are definitely harmful to the body, but induce people to buy them. Any carp angler knows that tiger nuts and peanuts for instance also have substances that also lead to this type of behaviour. Whether you term this induced habit-forming or addictive behaviour, it is just as profoundly significant, applicable and powerful when it comes to getting a bait edge over your carp and over other competing baits... This fishing bait secrets ebooks author has many more fishing and bait edges - just one might well impact very significantly on your big fish catches!

You may not be able to find designs to accommodate the exact kind you saw, but without doubt you will acquire some very close to it. Also most often you can do some adjustments. 1.Garden Sheds
Likely the most favourite as it is something almost every home owner has a need of. Frequently garden tools and equipment are stored in the garage. This is ok as a passing fix, but after awhile it can create clutter. Not only that moving the equipment in and out could hurt your vehicle. A sound style for a garden shed is one with a gable roof. This pays you a little bit of spare storage space up to. You can customize it by choosing the doors and window you desire and the size of the total project

2.Storage Sheds
Very alike to a garden shed but a little better insulated. Most likely you will be stashing away items here that you genuinely want to shelter from the elements. Maybe you will have items that hold liquid that you do not want to free. Furthermore, for goods such as cloths or books and those types of things you do not want to get wet.. Storage sheds are oftentimes built with a salt box style roof. The design allow more exposure to the sun.

3.Pool Sheds
Now were talking about getting a little fancier. With the proper plans even a beginner can make one of these. There is more glass required here in some of them. It may take a little more thought and precaution when building these unique sheds. They can range from being very easy to be used just as a change room along side the pool. There theres other styles that can be quite fancy, almost a small entertainment dwelling. Some even have little kitchenettes in them. Once More the option will be yours as to how detailed you want to be, along with your budget and how much space you have unrestricted

4.Barn Sheds
These are a genuinely unique design but is fairly general. Your choice of this one will count a lot of the outer decor of your home. Some individuals feel this shed style does not blend in well with ultra contemporary homes. On the hand they are perfect for the country or antique style houses. There are a little bit trickier to build up, but not out of the expertise of the beginner.

5.Combination Shed
One of the different types beginning to come out on the market and its a super concept. Its specially useful if you need to lay in firewood. Fundamentally its a regular garden shed, with a open style leanto connected to it. The materials all match and one part blends in perfectly with the other.

No matter what your requirements are or which style you have decided on, be sure to get a good simple to read and follow, set of plans.

First, make a decision whether you want to purchase your own board or if you would prefer to rent one. In either case, you must make certain you have the proper size board, bindings, and a brand name or design that appeals to you.

If this is your first time, you will need to determine which foot is in front and thus choose your bindings accordingly. Usually you will want to have your center of weight on the center to back end of the wake board. Then find a comfortable position for your front foot, usually with it pointing forward slightly.

Once you have the stance and the board chosen you will need to learn the starting process. You can either start by sitting on a dock and having the boat pull you onto the top of the water or you can start in the water. If you start in the water you need to keep your weight back and knees bent in a squat position when the boat pulls forward.

There are many options for beginners to consider if they want to learn to wake board. Another option is by going to a special water sport school. Here they will have a trained instructor available to give you advice and tips for you to learn to wake board.

Once you get to be more advanced, choices like a foam pit or a trampoline gives you the opportunity to rehearse tricks. These land choices permit safe landings if a fall occurs. When the practiced boarder has learned the tricks on land, they can then try it out on the water.

Something else that is needed for wake boarding, besides a boat, is a wake board tower. There are a lot of different wake board towers available but it is important to find one that is sturdy and that fits the boat properly. This will allow for good safe fun on the water.

So when you want to learn to wake board make sure that you choose good equipment and understand of the basics of the sport. Once you have achieved this you can move on to trampolines to practice tricks and maneuvers that will have all your friends amazed.

Big Carp and Catfish Bait Flavours And Feeding Triggers!

By Tim richardson

It might sound strange to imagine a fish as a tongue, but that is what they are in effect in water; and exploiting this fact is well proven to catch you a shocking amount of fish! Too many anglers think like anglers instead of seeing and sensing things from a fish perspective and this often is the difference between an average angler and a big-name one! It's the substances leaching and dissolving into water from your baits that seriously impact on specialised taste and smell cells, (plus other senses) all over the external and internal surfaces of fish and realising that this is similar to taste buds on your tongue is something you can hugely exploit with bait to totally transform your catches...

Many anglers like to catch specimen carp and large catfish because of the great sport they provide, but the big ones are often far from easy to catch, but you can easily use specially adapted bait or nutritionally boosted ready made baits as a big lever! Both species have similar essential nutritional needs and physical structures and biology for instance to exploit in regards how they detect potential food sources and your baits! Catfish and carp have special cells in their skin all over the place in specific concentrations and adaptations that truly maximise their ability to find specific nutrients they need to survive; even down to 3 just 3 parts per million in the case of certain chemical molecules; so you might say fish are tongues that swim!

I always laugh when I see someone sniffing a bottle of flavour, or tasting a bait, because this is really a measure of personal preference, rather that scientific testing of how a substance actually triggers feeding intensity or not in water, plus our senses are dulled compared to fishes by a gigantic percentage; these are the bloodhounds of the water world! We taste and smell using specially adapted cells in our tongues and noses; these have wet surfaces at all times to enable use to detect substances effectively in air, but fish evolved such cells all over their bodies, as well as internally, so they are like big tongues really. Specialist fish cells are part of many vital sensory input systems are found in various areas of concentration and cell forms; for detection of various substances, and other input information, like water temperature and pressure waves from your lead almost hitting them etc!

Some specific cells and systems detect various substances like particularly essential and also very stimulatory non-essential amino acids, or mineral salts or individual vitamins etc. Many different substance-specific cells and different functional-orientated cell are found in the surface skin for example and are distributed over the body, and in particular areas like the face, fins, nose, throat and interior of the mouth etc. As a side note here; even oils are partly soluble and this is significant especially in the use of lecithins in lower temperatures, improving digestion, more effective bait substance distribution in the water etc.

Apart from cells involved in chemical detection in the water better known in olfaction and chemoreception, there are many others, such as the specialised lateral line pit cells. These continue from the tale, along the flanks and down around the eye and along the bottom of the jaw ending very near the mouth. These are so vital to Cyprindae fish for example, that the jaw of these fish is shaped to allow this distribution of nerves and sensory pit arrangements from millions of years ago in their evolution.

The potential food, opportunities and predator detection systems in carp and other fish represent a multipurpose aquatic scanner which we would be very short-sighted not to exploit using our baits for maximum effect! Knowing more about the sensitive systems of fish such as carp, can help us locate them in the water, and concentrations of carbonic acid or ammonia for example can lead to fish being located and feeding in one swim more than in others through different temperatures and seasons for example. The highly adapted cells in carp and other fish will often detect things humans cannot detect and often carp will appear to behave appropriately in advance of certain changing weather patterns, changing air pressures and temperature changes etc, and water density and pressure changes may be involved more than we might think.

The worm-like projections around the mouth of a carp help in the vital decisions and behaviours made in testing or eating an item, or rejecting it, and these are packed with high concentrations of specialised receptor cells; so getting your bait right is essential! You baits can absorb water so releasing substances, or even simply dissolve into the water in the case of highly soluble or hygroscopic additives, ingredients and flavour components like glycerol for instance. Now the chemical substances from your bait are most concentrated near your bait and this message in solution gets weaker travelling further away and this is obviously very significant in drawing fish to your bait!

Carp in part will locate your baits by tracking the strengthening concentrations of substances leaching from your baits as they get nearer their source in the water. Because fishing bait location and identification is related so much to fish olfaction and olfaction, covering the many essential and non-essential fish stimulatory substances and others in your baits really does exploit them and can make catching fish far easier! Many nutritionally balanced baits are great for getting fish into the habit of eating your baits on a regular basis too; and this can truly work in your favour and allow you to catch more fish despite perhaps many lacks in knowledge, skills or experience that an angler may have and these can be great equalisers and another reason I recommend homemade baits...

Your bait exploitation of substances that intensely excite your big carp and catfish is simply one of the most potent edges you can give yourself; and this is why knowing more about bait is such a valuable, powerful advantage over competing anglers and their baits! Discovering more potent information about bait manipulation costs peanuts when compared to remaining perhaps relatively ignorant; and maybe blanking more, or not catching those dream fish you could potentially catch so much faster!

Homemade Carp And Catfish Sausage Meat Baits Save You A Fortune!

By Tim Richardson

These days looking for cheap but well proven alternative big fish protein baits is very important and homemade sausage meat baits and ground baits are brilliant baits for so many reasons. Luncheon meats and Pepperoni are popular and effective but extremely expensive as fishing baits. So let's now see how to make your own big fish sausage meat baits and save yourself a fortune!

Using sausage meat is rather more ethical than basing your baits on very valuable marine resources, but you can use it to bulk-up certain fish or shellfish bait mixes to cut costs and create different nutritional profiles, tastes effects etc. you can easily get sausage meat fresh or frozen fresh and fresh is best although catfish are also renowned for loving baits just souring, but I would prefer to use this effect with blood based baits for instance and not pork. Often the biggest fish in your water will take a new safe bait pretty quickly and certainly sausage meat based baits are not trendy so can really give you many competitive edges!

You can use the minced products or use a mincer to make a sticky pliable material to use to base you bait on. Pork meat is very nutritionally stimulating to big catfish and carp, supplying many essential nutritional needs including many amino acids and energy packed oils. Sausage meat may be made from pork alone or with other materials, but even adding very cheap wheat flour, or with a few eggs to meat with sausage rusk will bind bait to make practical bait dough for paste or boilies.

So how do you further produce one of the cheapest home made protein baits fast and easily?

Use a large pan or bowl to make a bait mix using a test batch of about half a pound of meat plus about 2or 3 hen's eggs and enough wheat flour added to bind into dough. This is practical bait to use immediately, or you can store it in plastic bags and store in the freezer or fridge for future sessions. Although these meat baits (like any bait ingredients) may vary in nutritional profiles and fish effects and catch results, they are normally instant type baits and reliable fish catchers straight from the first cast.

Like the majority of carp and catfish baits, the best way to start fishing with it is to feed perhaps 2 to 6 pounds or more of it into your swim, in advance. (This is certainly not absolutely necessary however!) You might for instance, over a period of 3 days prior to fishing, start introducing paste pieces about an inch in diameter just by pulling them off your balls of dough you have made.

When you pre-bait fish will obviously get a smell and taste of it without getting hooked so be more confident when you do try it on the hook, so do it! You can use sausage meat baits as part of your ground baiting or with other meat baits like chopped spam, meatballs, luncheon meats if you want the extra expense; sausage meat and cheap rolled oats is fine! Scald or boil or steam your baits if needed where smaller fish prove a bother, but add some paste to your bait on your rig or on the hook to boost more soluble attraction...

As most commercial rolled baits have uniform shapes, your homemade baits in odd shapes have the advantage over more wary fish by disrupting their reference points! Boilies are just made by placing your dough baits only a handful at a time in half a pan of boiling water in a pan for a couple of minutes; this makes a resilient skin when they dry-off on conveniently placed absorbent towels or trays etc. keep your water boiling at all times by not adding too many baits at once and keep taking baits out after around 2 minutes or so.

The proteins in the eggs in the boilies coagulate more with more boiling to make your baits harder, but you might add other substances to harden or toughen your baits; such as blood powder which also adds valuable stimulatory nutritional attraction. The choice of other additives, ingredients, flavours etc is vast, but choosing these is very much a science and art! Anything you add is better based on a little investigation of what truly triggers fish feeding and what has not already hammered your water, rather than a quick trip to the local bait shop first as this can end up costly and even counter-productive to your financial goals!

You might just add a teaspoon of black pepper powder per egg used. Other examples of well proven kitchen favourites are yeast extract products like Marmite or Vegemite; add at a heaped tablespoon per egg, or even Parmesan or blue cheese powder which is ideal in sausage meat baits. You can simply add some Minamino or proprietary fishing liquid amino acids supplement like Nutramino to boost feeding stimulation and nutritional profile of your bait; or add fish meal, keratin, or poultry meal, or ground bird foods and lecithins for more digestible baits in winter, for example...

You can add almost anything to enhance the stimulatory effects of your sausage baits but it helps if you really know what your ingredients do inside your fish and how they work together in baits to contribute the overall effects and improve catch results, and this knowledge really does save you a fortune and boost your confidence hugely! There are many ingredients etc you might add to stimulate fish which may be very expensive over a season, but going to the supermarket, health food shop, Asian store etc can provide really potent gems for a fraction of the cost when you know what to look for in terms of bioactive substances especially... Even adding liquidised liver with a few drops of spice or herb oleoresins and liquid lecithins can make drastic differences to results for relatively little cost and your baits will always be unique of course which a big edge anyway!

If you use proven fish feeding triggers and proven fish attractors with a nutritional or other physiological beneficial effect then they will pay their worth for sure. Even supermarket oil based citrus flavours can be very effective not least due to being unique and containing beneficial bioflavonoids, acids etc, but you can make your own homemade flavoured oils, flavours and nutritional glugs, dips etc for very little expense anyway. Homemade sausage meat baits do compete even with the latest enzyme-active commercial baits and catch big carp and catfish at a fraction of the cost of very many popular baits. Being different is one of the top edges in fishing even simply using the bait ideas here to adapt add an unusual bait paste moulded round your readymade bait is going to get you thinking about more productive possibilities in the future; and the more you know the more valuable cheaper edges you have!

Storage Shed Construction Is A Fun Family Activity

By Ryan Henderson

In todays fast paced living it is getting tougher and trickier to set family values and find the proper means to encourage family bonding. With a little bit of thought ,and maybe some encouragement with the teens, a ideological way to do this is through a family project. If you are in need of a outdoor storage shed consider making this a family event.

You will want to develop a certain mind set and thats to be persevering. Depending on the number of family members that will be participating there will be some levels of frustration. The gains of finishing this outdoor shed will far outweigh the rifts and arguments that may occur along the way. Another element will be how much experience is going to be present. If you are a novice at construction, then this is going to be a learning experience for you as well as the kids, and dont forget the wife.

To begin with start it as a family project right from the beginning. Dont run out and buy the plans and materials, and storm the kids on Saturday morning as to whats happening. Start off with a family discussion. You will want to decide on whether you are going to make a prefab outdoor storage shed, or start out from scratch.

Next is a trip to the local home renovation store. Here you will either be selecting your kit or your outdoor shed pattern. Of course you will have established the joint family decision as to where it be erected, and how huge it should be. You will all want to agree on the style. Here is where you get the kids to think ahead and make this somewhat informative. Let them determine what would the most cost effective method for establishing the shed

If you are constructing from scratch then specify a family member to inspect the plans for the outdoor shed and make a list of the supplies that will be necessary. Now that you are designating some responsibility it should produce more exuberance. The impending plan is to go out and purchase the materials.

When building day comes make sure all family member is designated to some task. Be sure they feel comfortable with it and that it has some significance. It doesnt matter what age group you are supervising, some innovative thinking on your part will do the trick. Remember the safety elements and be sure everbody has a good knowledge of them. Reserve any of the work with tools purely for yourself, unless you have some liable teens that have some knowledge of woodworking tools.

So once your shed has been built, do not close here.. Get everybody who has worked on the project ,to help put all of the items that are going to be stacked away in there. At this point everyone should be feeling a sense of achievement ,and taking pride in the role each of them had. Everyone will most likely agree that yes, some family bonding actually did happen.

Satellite Internet vs. Cellular Wireless

If you live, work or vacation in an area that cannot get broadband Internet like DSL or cable Internet, your options are generally dialup, satellite, cellular or wireless Internet access. While dialup, satellite and cellular Internet access are usually nationwide services, wireless Internet is a locally-operated service as the best technology today can only broadcast a wireless signal 10-28 miles.

Satellite InternetSatellite Internet connects between a satellite receiver on your roof and a orbiting satellites. In order to use satellite Internet, you generally only need a clear exposure to the Southern sky. The two primary service providers are HughesNet and WildBlue.
In most cases, you will be required to purchase and maintain the equipment (e.g. software updates). Satellite Internet is much faster than dialup Internet, however download and upload speeds may vary greatly, and there typically is a latency period which makes VPN or voice-over-IP (VoIP) connections impractical.

Furthermore, additional costs are typically incurred for antenna re-alignments or adjustments.
Pros: Much faster than dialup (20-40X faster). Only requires a clear sight of the southern sky. Available at any location, no matter how remote.

Cons: Latency period which makes VPN or voice-over-IP (VoIP) connections impractical. Static IP address may be unavailable or available for an additional charge. Speeds may vary greatly. Threshold limits imposed (e.g. daily or monthly maximum usage). May be affected by weather conditions.
Cost: Typical costs are $50-150/month. Equipment and installation costs $329-$600.
Cellular Phone Wireless (aka Mobile Broadband)Several cell phone companies now offer high-speed wireless Internet via a cellular wireless card connected to your laptop. This cellular wireless card is not the same as a laptop wireless card used to connect to a home router or wifi network at a hotspot location (e.g. Starbucks).

A cellular wireless card works like dialup Internet access, but uses your cell phone to connect to the Internet. Cell phone wireless gives you the flexibility of connecting to the Internet from anywhere where you have cell phone signal. Speeds are much faster than dialup but you cannot "share" your connection with other users, and you may incur per-minute charges (depending on the plan you select).

Pros: Much faster than dialup (20-50X faster). Available at any location where you have cell phone coverage. Great for mobile professionals (e.g. realtors, field operators, etc.).
Cons: Internet connections drop (just like regular cell phone calls do). Cannot share the Internet connection with other computers. May incur per-minute charges (depending on the plan you select).

Cost: Typical costs are $50-150/month. Setup fees may be required.

Vacation Rental Home Security Systems

Vacation home security is now more important than ever. With rising unemployment, vandalism due to high scrap prices for copper, metals and aluminum, and longer times between visits due to high gas prices or airline fees.
While foreclosure rates remain high, even for vacation homes or second homes, criminals will be seeking crimes of opportunity.

Some of us turn to time-share properties as a more affordable alternative. Each of these two forms of vacation home ownership present unique home security issues.

If you own your own vacation home and live there either seasonally or on a weekend basis, you're leaving your second home unoccupied for significant periods of time. You're also establishing a pattern of occupancy that any savvy intruder can soon learn and use to his advantage. If you own a time-share property, you own a percentage of a vacation home. You're sharing it with complete strangers who may or may not adhere to the same standards of security that you do. And, of course, you trust your time-share company to properly maintain and secure the property during those periods when nobody is staying there.

You may believe that merely applying the same safety practices you follow in your primary residence should be enough to protect your vacation home. But in fact, you need to go above and beyond the rituals of safety you'd observe in a home you live in on a more frequent basis. Homes that look unoccupied are easy targets. You've seen those homes with newspapers piled up outside or that appears pitch black at night when the rest of the neighborhood is lit. Consider the following guidelines for protecting your vacation home year-round:

Consider a GE Home Security System from your local Fortune Hi Tech Marketing representative. With FHTM and GE Home Security, it is now easier than ever to protect what means most to you. With customizable systems to meet your specific needs, keep your family, possessions and investments safe. GE is continually advancing new technologies that help homeowners monitor their properties, make schools safer, improve airline security, and more. Plus GE can integrate new security technologies with existing equipment and IT systems. Whether you need an entire system, or individual products, GE has the right technology to keep you safe.

Introduce yourself to your neighbors - particularly those who reside in your neighborhood year-round. Tell them what your schedule is, and ask them to keep an eye on things while you're away. That doesn't mean handing them a key, although you may wish to do so if you know and trust your neighbors well enough. And watching over your home doesn't have to be a job to which you burden your neighbors; simply ask them to remain alert to your home's appearance. Leave with your neighbors all of your contact numbers at your primary residence, so that they may contact you immediately in the event they spot suspicious activity. Give them verbal approval to contact the local police department in your absence, particularly if they spot suspicious activity and can't reach you by phone.

Consider the personal items you're leaving in your vacation home when it's unoccupied. Anything expensive - including cars, computers, televisions, DVD players and stereo equipment - should be stored under lock and key while you're away. Take photographs of all of your possessions in your second home, and store them in a safe at your primary residence for insurance purposes. Engrave your name on the back of your expensive electronic equipment.

If you own a timeshare property, find out from the management company exactly what kinds of security measures they have in place. This includes the policies to which maintenance staff are required to adhere. Find out if the management company replaces the locks on doors in the event that tenants lose a key.
For most homeowners, the acquisition of a vacation home is the culmination of years of hard work. That's why you owe it to yourself and your family to obtain for your vacation home the most stringent standards of safety within your means.

With the GE Home Security lifetime replacement of parts warranty and state of the art UL listed technology, you can rest easy. The highest quality products, competitive pricing and up to 20% off of homeowner and vacation home insurance makes GE Home Security the leader in the industry. One button arming, pager features, door chimes and a 24 hour emergency button make around the clock peace of mind a reality. Let FHTM and GE Home Security give you the power to protect your family and your home.

Here are just a few of the reasons to trust your security with a GE Wireless Home Security System:

One Button Arming: You arm your wireless home security system by pushing a single button.

The Peacekeeper® wireless home security system comes with entry/exit delays at the doors you select, and you can also put these same doors and windows on instant alert with the push of a single button.

Pager Feature: The wireless home security system has a pager feature. Should your child not return from school at the proper time and turn off the system, the system can be programmed to page you.

24-hour Emergency Button: You have access to an emergency panic button that allows you to summon help 24 hours a day.

Battery Back-up: In the event of a power failure, your Command Station will automatically convert from AC to DC.

Door Chime: The wireless home security system will, at your request, act as a door chime. Should your child try to slip out a door unattended, the system will notify you?

Your security and the security of your guests is the most important concern, if you are considering a home or vacation home monitoring system, please contact your local Fortune Hi Tech Marketing Representative, a GE authorized dealer or visit this link to find a representative near you http://fhtmus.com/monaview.

Cubanc cigars come in different sizes

By Trevor Wallace

I was talking my friend John and he goes "What shapes do Cuban cigars come in?". I was not so much surprised at the question but considering John (He knows nothing about Cuban cigars), it was some what a pleasant thing. To me it sounded like John finally decided to dabble into the world of Cuban cigars. Well he was asking the right guy and than I gave him the whole deal on sizes and Cuban cigars.

So what is the best sized Cuban cigar? Well it really depends on you the Cuban cigar enthusiast. Some people like the long size, some people like the short Robusto size (Which is also very popular by the way) and some like the super short Cuban cigars. It all depends on what kind of cigar you enjoy. Many people have different reasons.

People who like long cigars, usually have the time to enjoy them. Long cigars can take up to sixty minutes or more. These are usually smoked on weekends and people like to enjoy them a lot (Rightfully so). Short Cuban cigars on the other hand are for people on the go and have less than forty five minutes or so to their name at that moment or what not.

If you really want to know the details or the main difference between the cigar sizes, I would say that would be the ring gauge size or the thickness if you may. The thickness of the cigar is also a major part of what people prefer or not. Some people like the thinner espendido style or the thick Robusto style Cuban cigar. I like Robusto but that is just my preference.

Whether you like them long or short, thick or thinner, Cuban cigars are something that everyone should try out. How can you not say yes to the most beautiful tobacco in the world? Makes no sense to me. The best thing is to experiment and I can assure you that you will find the size that works just for you.

Sanibel Island for Destination Weddings, a Win, Win, Win

Brides and grooms to be might want to consider Sanibel as a destination wedding locale. All the elements are there to make the wedding memorable for the intended couple and delightful for all who attend.

For six months or more out of the year, the temperatures are sunny with nice breezes and no humidity.

The Gulf is a beautiful back drop for a marriage ceremony. And all the resources a couple will need from reception venues to florists and photographers are easily found right on the Island. The bridal party and invited guests will have a wide variety of things to do together or independently as well as diversity of choices in lodging for the wedding, and hopefully to add some time before or after as their own vacation.

For engaged couples considering wedding locale options, Sanibel should be on the forefront for its beauty, romance, charm and even for the convenience of transportation for wedding guests.

Fort Myers is the closest airport, only 40 minutes from the island and a hub for planes coming from all over the country as well as much of Europe. Miami airport is only a 3 hour drive and services national and international flights. Sarasota airport is less than 2 hours away and Tampa is again, a 3 hour drive.

In addition to these 4 airports that can be the transportation connection for guests traveling by plane and from hundreds of locations, the highways into Florida are very good and easy to travel for guests who may be closer and wanting to use their own cars to get to the island.

Although Sanibel is the site for many weddings a year, it is still surprisingly relatively unknown as a destination wedding.

Considering the reasonable cost, convenience and appeal of a wedding on a small and well managed resort island, it would appear the ideal spot to tie the knot!

Home Warranty Protection Plans for Vacation Homes and Vacation Rentals

Purchasing a home warranty protection plan is a must for vacation rental owners

Vacation or second homes can be one of life's many joys, but it's not always cheap. Probably the last thing a vacation property owner wants to do after closing on their vacation home is dish out even more money on appliances or systems that unexpectedly break or malfunction, especially when your vacation home is located hundreds of miles away. It's a normal part of being a vacation home owner, though, and purchasing a home warranty protection plan is one way you can achieve some peace of mind.

A home warranty is an especially good idea if you're a absentee owner with no experience in maintaining a home or property. A home warranty plan is also cheaper than hiring a property management company to make the same calls you can make yourself. Homeowners insurance does not cover breakdown of a home's major systems or appliances, but a home warranty protection plan can help with repair costs such as an air conditioning system that breaks down in the middle of the night, or your refrigerator suddenly stops running.

Who pays for a home warranty plan?

Normally, the vacation home owner will pay for a warranty plan, but depending on where you live, it could depend on local traditions. Some sellers opt to pay for the coverage because it's a seller benefit. You can ask your agent in the offer to request the seller pay, and they may agree. The National Home Warranty Association says homes with protection plans sell about 50% faster than unprotected homes. Many real estate agents will also give buyers a home warranty as a gift at closing.

How does a home warranty work?

With most plans, you will pay an annual premium for coverage. When a repair is needed you call the plan's service provider, which normally operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and they send an authorized service contractor to your home. A small service fee is required - typically in ranging from $35 to $50, and usually less than $100 - and the contractor makes the repairs or recommends the appliance be replaced. Policies usually last for one year, costing an average of $395 per year for a moderate sized home.

What does a home warranty protection plan cover?

Home warranty protection plans may offer different levels of coverage. Most standard plans offer repair or replacement coverage for a home's heating system and ductwork, plumbing, and electrical systems. Other major appliances that can be added include the dishwasher, the water heater, stove, clothes washer and dryer, even swimming pool equipment. If you are expecting your appliances or systems to break down sooner than later, you can also consider increasing your deductible in order to make a guaranteed replacement provision more affordable.

Increasing your deductible from $500 to $1,000 can often reduce your premiums. The majority of plans do not require an inspection of a home's systems or appliances. Because coverage's will vary from state to state and from policy to policy, ask to see a copy of the policy before you commit.

What does a home warranty not cover?

Pre-existing conditions are typically not covered. For example, if the water heater hasn't worked properly for some time, it probably won't be covered in the buyer's home warranty plan. 5 Tips To Build A Safe Outdoor Garden Shed

By Ryan Henderson

The suggestions here are to give you few ideas on some time saving and cost saving tips, to help you in constructing your storage shed. The tips in many cases will also directly or indirectly cover safety factors.

Naturally you are going to start out with the planning of the area where the outdoor shed is going to be put up. You need to discover what materials you are going to use for your base. Remember most damage caused to wood is by corrosion, which is caused by water and dampness. Concrete, consequently, is one of the most common selections for a shed foundation. If your storage shed or garden shed is constructed near low lying field liable to water run off possibly, then you must be sure and study this. There is wood especially rated for ground use that is pressure treated. Be sure to use this if you settle not to use concrete. The safety factor comes down to the issue that if the shed begins to sink then eventually the structure could become treacherous.
Think about the long run, you are saving some money because if constructed right you wont have to substitute it for 3 or 4 years.

With so much talk about fungus and mold being found in aging outdoor sheds of late, many of us have grown more aware of the troubles it can create. Much of this can be avoided with appropriate air circulation. If you are using wood as your base be sure it is at 6 off the ground. Once again it helps to keep the wood from decomposition, and provides for air circulation. Something else that you can do to is maintain at least 3 round your construction clear and open from bushes and trees. This way it admits the wind and sun to keep it dry, or dry it after a violent storm. You will notice a massive difference because you should never find out a musty stale odor within the outdoor shed

The floor is absolutely one critical place you do not want to be cheap. Rotting and warping here can be life-threatening. One good tip is to ensure pressure treated lumber or concrete. It might even be worth paying a few more dollars and using tongue and groove plywood. This is what is ordinarily recommended if your outdoor storage shed is going to stock massive items such as rides or a lawn mower. Even if you dont have one now, plan for the future. Particularly if you know you wont be marketing your household anytime soon.

Some regions that you can save on price are in areas like your trim. Here you can use items such as PVC trim boards. They are a bit less pricey but theres some substantial benefits to them when it comes to upkeep. You wont have to be troubled about warping, splitting or decay and the important bonus is it never needs painting.

These are just a few of the many points that you will encounter if you search facts on constructing your outdoor shed. Without a doubt, safety is the 1st factor, and any extra cost savings are a bonus.

The Bujinkan

By Lisa Moore

The Bujinkan is a new martial arts organization established by Masaaki Hatsumi Soke, the Founder, in the last 30 years. Translated, Bujinkan means "Hall of the Divine Warrior." Hatsumi Soke gave it this name to honour his teacher, Takamatsu Toshitsugu, was the first person to receive the title Soke in all of the nine Ryu of Bujinkan and which have histories dating from the eighth century. The teachings of these schools have been handed down in direct teacher/disciple relationships throughout a lineage of some two hundred and one Soke.

The Bujinkan teaches sections of all the nine ryu. For example, Ninjutsu is a section within Bujutsu. So to think of the Bujinkan only teaching Ninjutsu would be totally wrong.

Masaaki Hatsumi Soke received his teaching of the nine schools of the Bujinkan from Takamatsu Toshitsugu. In turn Takamatsu Sensei received his teachings from three different sources. These were Toda Shinryuken, Mizuta Yoshitaro and Ishitani Matsutaro. You must have a brief understanding of each of these schools to understand the Bujinkan as a whole.

What seperates the Bujinkan from other forms of martial training, such as Karate, Judo, Kendo, Aikido, etc., is the fact that the techniques studied today are the same as those formed on the Japanese battlefields in 1603. During the 250 years of peace that followed, as their skills were no longer needed, the warrior class began to undertake more humanitarian pursuits. The skills developed during that time of peace held perfection of character more important that actual combative effectiveness.

However in the Bujinkan, combat effectiveness was still held as the highest priority and it's techniques were not diluted to comply to safety. The techniques in the Bujinkan are studied for real life situations - there is no tournament competition. Training is usually carried out with a partner. Each taking turns of the role of uke (the receiver). Once the instructor has demonstrated a basic technique, the students pair up and attempt the technique. The students will then be shown numerious variations (henka) of the basic technique.

Bujinkan training is made for real life situations. With the Bujinkan the student learns to instantly produce a technique from nothing. As we all know a real life situation very rarely plays out like a kata practised in the class.

In the Bujinkan it is stressed that you should train with a happy heart. Shortly before his death Takamatsu told Hatsumi sensei how important it is:

The way to experience happiness is to let go of all worries and regrets and know that being happy is the most satisfying of life's feelings. Reflect back on all the progress in your life and allow the positive, creative, and joyous thoughts to outshine and overwhelm any sorrow or grief. Happiness is waiting there in front of you. Only you can decide whether or not you choose to experience it.
